The “Baglio” is a small rural compound in an elevated position and boasts stupendous view over a long stretch of sandy beach and some beautiful open countryside. The surrounding scenery is magnificent. Located approx. 60 km west of Messina, along the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily, the Baglio is just in front of the Aeolian Islands and very close to the ancient Greek Roman town of Tyndaris. This tranquil retreat, a superb base for a break, is a perfect corner for privacy, comfort and quietness.It is an ideal place for exploring our beautiful and varied country. The compound is within a 15 hectares private estate, inaccessible to outsiders. Guests coming to the Baglio will be staying in a bio – fruit and olive farm adorned by luxuriant tropical plants.They will be able to pick their own choice of seasonal fruit. Vegetables biologically grown and bio-olive oil are available upon request. The Baglio houses its guests in an independent building called Villa Eoliana and in 4 more residences, which are in a recently renovated old farmhouse : the “Draco”, the “Pagliera”, the “Cafisi” and the “Scuderia”. All properties are self-catering.

All buildings have terracotta tiled floors, thick stone walls and some exposed wooden beam ceiling. Restoration preserved completely the buildings unique identity in order to create a pleasant homely feel; furniture is comfortable and welcoming. As a result, the properties can boast a perfect combination of original charm and modern facilities. All of the houses are equipped with central heating, Sat TV, safe, fridge, freezer and microwave. Rooms are cool and the sea view is breathtaking.
The large sandy beach below is accessible either by car, a distance of 1km towards the near by town of San Giorgio or, on foot, for approx. 250 metres walking a path cutting across the property. All properties are equipped with beach umbrella and deck chairs on our private area of the sandy beach.
